Fairly basic pop punk commercial comp so I’ll go through one at a time.
1. The Loved Ones – pretty simple, annoying vocals
2. Emanuel – A bit heavier, but snotty vocals and painful accent.
3. Flogging Molly – live track, absurd fake irish accent. Irish style punk, you know whether you like this or not already.
4. Millencolin – return to fast melodic punk, not the shit they put out recently. The vocals have improved too!
5. No Use For A Name – dreadful, sickening actually. Mid paced, does nothing.
6. Dead Fish – little bit of originality here but more of the same, reminds me of newer Strike Anywhere so ok.
7. No Children – finally a bit of speed but not much. Sounds like AFI.
8. Strike Anywhere – Why did this band become so unthreatening?
9. Ephen Rian – more “oh emo is in, we’ll still play pop punk but scream and do metal licks” nonsense.
10. The Real McKenzies – Scottish pop punk? Clearly aimed at American market though. Sounds like the bagpipes – yes, bagpipes – came off a keyboard.
11. Gogol Bordello – weird folk electronic stomping punk. Probably the funniest song on here.
12. Randy – oh my dear god, imagine Randy with Postal Service beats and no speed of the older stuff. This sounds like that. Horrible.
13. MXPX – dreadful, aren’t they christians too? Get out.
14. Vanilla Sky – something for the american pie 5 soundtrack.
15. Snitch – sounds like an american punk busted who were asked to do a song for this comp.
16. Raised Fist – completely stupid hardcore electronica, rubbish.
17. The Unseen – pretty cool actually, mid paced, shouted vocals, not that good though, sounds like a more melodic bad as friends rust.
18. Bedouin Soundclash – stupid acoustic song.
19. The Bleeding Archives – I have no words, what a pile of over hyped americanised SHIT! JUST FUCK OFF!
20. Hell Is For Heroes – fucking sickening music, go and die.
21. Street Dogs – modernised oi punk, but not very good. First time I’ve heard the yanks sing in fake british accents though, makes a change from the other way around.
22. My Awesome Compilation – not appropriate for what is definitely not an awesome compilation. Again unthreatening, sounds like everything else.
23. Uncommonmenfrommars – same again
24. Gas Drummers – the fastest song on here, they have changed their sound a bit but if you liked them before I reckon you would like them now. The best song on here.
So that was a horrible listening experience on the whole, I hope no one here ever buys this or goes to one of the sponsored shows.
