One of a handful of posthumous 7″ releases by perennially great post-punkers Giant Haystacks, this one featuring three quick, scattergun bursts of rangy, staccato funk and pointed, matter-of-fact vocals that comes off somewhere between Gang Of Four, Mission Of Burma and The Minutemen. The title track is the undoubted highlight, catchy as fuck and railing against gentrification whilst ‘After The Strike’ is a short n’ snappy ode to the uncertainties of industrial action and ‘All Night Garage’ a dose of wistful escapism influenced by a simple case of the smalltown blues. Golden as ever, basically.
