Not to be confused with the actual Pope, or more relevantly Lightning Bolt, because let’s face it, this lot’s welding together of scattered drums, distorto-bass, fast randomised grooves and yelling will have you thinking plagiarism. I never burned out on the Bolt though, so they’re in luck. The Pope noodle around a bit less (aside from the odd in-between tracks where they left the tapes running), and aren’t really as proficient, but it works. Chuck in some evil godheadSilo heaviness and newer Suppression silliness and you’ve got some quality rock.
