Four originals and a Slade cover from these fuck-ups, all of which zip past in a flash and could conceivably be along the lines of what Richman might’ve thrown together in a one-take temper tantrum if he’d somehow been on a major Ramones / Saints / Swell Maps jag. This one’s cleaner around the edges and less blown-out than the ‘Apocalyptic Grades’ 7″ I have, but it’s hardly a finely-honed modern rock opera either – just punkish, poppish barely-be-bothered rock n’ roll that threatens to descend into a meaningless scrabble of sound at any moment and, on occasion, does just that. Brill.
