White Boss - s/t - LP (2010)

Labels: Perennial
Review by: Alex Deller

Gnarled, ragged and obscenely large, White Boss possess a rugged heft and depth of sound similar to that employed on the Slices LP. On the face of it they merge a straight-forward hardcore blurt with something akin to a more aggro Karp, but once you grit your teeth and let it all ooze its way into and over you a few times you realise that there’s also something strangely epic at play – a wilful, single-minded menace and the veiled threat that certain songs could last for days on fucking end if the forces behind them so decreed it.
