Fuckin a’! Not only does this band have a great name, NASA Space Universe!, but they play this sprawling, free wheeling hardcore that exists precisely on that point where me and hardcore meet, i.e. it sounds like it could have come out in 1995 on Gravity.

NASA splatter thirteen frenetic songs across a pair of sides of vinyl at such a pace that makes me astonished to learn that they filled them both at 33rpm. The vocals are garbled and bellowed whilst the minimal respect for production assists the manic guitar work in the process of sounding as broken and diabolical as possible. Here and there the alertness of the basslines bring to mind Assfactor 4, elsewhere you can suggest it sounds like Born Against or the over-looked emo chaos of Second Story Window (SWEET!). There’s not much more to add about such high octane hardcore, it packs the requisite splintered melody and wild guitar to keep me excited for both sides. A right royal rager, and no mistake. Dig the mad ramblings that pass for liner notes too.
