Bass, drums and yelling “” what more do you need? Well, guitars perhaps, but there’s enough going on here to addle your mind and question your notions of what constitutes a rocking good time. You might immediately think of similarly guitar-free duos, but Wedding eschew the blurry blast of bands like Godstomper, Bizarre X and Lightning Bolt, or the droning bombast of godheadSilo and Om for a technical, playfully jazzy trip into fast odd-core territory. I’m definitely reminded of the scene polarising outfit Lords Of Light, who had their tongues firmly in cheek while still managing to out-thrash everyone. There’s some NoMeansNo in the mix too, though with the guitar turned down obviously. I bet this is a riot live.
