Solid hardcore from Toronto from some people who play hardcore in other Toronto hardcore bands. Six short songs, with no fuss/muss in the guitarwork, plenty of echo on the vocals and, during ‘Eraser’, the very strong sense that you should be bellowing IT’S YOUR MISTAKE. Feedback pishes through here and there, but the overall sense is that the sound’s maybe a tad too tightly reined – I kinda want things to be a bit more hectic, volatile and threatening than they actually are. Maybe that’s how they come across live, and you’d really rather hope so. As it stands, though, things’re certainly enjoyable enough but you’d be better off picking up the Deaf Mutations 7″ or Violent Future tape for your TOHC fix while patiently waiting to see where these scamps go next with their racket.
