Okay let’s get this over with, let’s see what this band are gonna put me through on this record. Track one straight away manages to sound like none of the other songs I vaguely remember from ‘Lankershim Square’. Four tracks in, it’s not actually as bizarre as I expected and even sounds a little like No Doubt (my preconceptions are dashed). I’m trying to work out if this was their first record; the internet does not yield much. At this point I’m actually a little disappointed how regular it is, because it sounds like a band that just can’t quite find their style. It’s interesting musically, sure, but despite the musical talent of the band this just isn’t good music.
