Collusion formed from the ashes of a screamo band but they don’t actually say who on their web page; turns out it was Dramacoma who I’ve reviewed once or twice before. Collusion play far more traditional screamo than their predecessors though, lying in the euro screamo vein alongside the likes of Danse Macabre. But as chaotic as the guitars are they don’t hook me in and as high pitched as the vocals are they sound pretty standard. I think it’s the metal influence going on in the background. Ah they mention Loma Prieta, I can see the link now, probably more so than euro screamo. I dunno, it’s nice to hear some new screamo but this is not really up my street.
