The opening of Track One sounds a bit like “Up In The Sky” by Oasis, which I don’t believe for one second was intentional because everything else is deep, psychedelic chugging with all the echo and reverb you would expect from something released on this label.
Perhaps most tellingly, this is the only one of the three releases from Cardinal Fuzz I received this month, not accompanied by a press release full of references to other bands, an omission, which I believe, speaks volumes.
Nine songs, some instrumental, some reminiscent of the great Flying Saucer Attack, all brilliant. Recommended.
