Bollock Swine - Gongju In Grayvyard - CD (2014)

Labels: Erst-While Antrum
Review by: Oli Saunders

Abnorm no-skool-noyzcore? Gunk distortion harlequin-haze-hop? No, this is merely a recording of a group of people randomly smashing their instruments together and screaming their heads off. the screams die down a bit as the album progresses; they must have been exhausted. I presume they’re inspired by the Melt Banana/noise scene; someone always has to take it to the next level. Track 5 actually has a nice riff in the background and almost makes a case for being music. I personally still love discordant screamo like Usurp Synapse, which is all over the place. But Bollock Swine make Usurp’s songs look like they have the structure of a Beethoven symphony. A band of which I would question whether anyone can listen to them with serious appreciation.
