The title of this eight-track 7″ kinda sums things up – it’s bold, to the point and offers zero room for argument – and the record itself shows that even after nearly 25 years in the game Phobia are still a force to be reckoned with. Everything here is on point, the band weighing blunt-force brutality up against vicious, scalpel-sharp precision and decking it all out with a that’s capable of liquefying internal organs with a single palm-muted thud. That’s not to say things aren’t without smarts, however, with plenty of interesting fiddles going on amid the savagery and ‘Don’t Hate The Pain, Hate The Game’ even (briefly) containing some curiously tasteful melodies. It’s great, basically, and if you’re a fan of anything from Napalm Death and Brutal Truth to Insect Warfare and Wormrot and don’t have at least a scattering of Phobia’s releases in your collection then here’s a most excellent place to start.
