This is some nicely understated instrumental slowcore stuff from a London duo. It looks like they’ve been playing gigs since 2012 but I’m not sure if they’ve released anything prior to this. However, it’s pretty good. I hesitate to use the post rock term if only to prevent the obvious references from cropping up. Probably partly my own fault as I just have the usual set of references when it comes to that particular genre and you can tell that they like Codeine so I’d say that slowcore is just as much of an influence as the likes of Mogwai. These four tracks are all quite downbeat, brooding and moody – hoping there’s more where this came from.
