Whilst Awesome and the Ass Kickers have some amusing pictures around the web, the joke band nature doesn’t do a great deal for me and it’s far too OTT. They have some musical talent but its masked by the ridiculous lyrics and costumes. No harm done, I’m sure they are having a good time and if you knew the band you’d appreciate the humour. If you like the lighter side of punk and lyrics like “Lisa, Lisa, Lisa, Lisa, would you like a piece of pizza” you might well be into this but I’m not.
