Neat three-track single from a band I now want to hear a lot more of. Mystic Inane play a very ‘now’ type of scunge-punk that’s scratchy, abrasive and sits part-way between moronic and menacing. The title track somehow makes me think of early Fall playing ‘Conform; by Siege, while elsewhere there’s a mangle-limbed No Trend influence at play along with some low-brow garage punk inferences that give things a catchy edge despite the constant snarl. All in all: a nice if thoroughly dirty piece of work!
