The letter that comes with this release asks for Alex Deller; sorry, you’re stuck with me. The Wave released a number of EPs last year, ‘Idiot!’ of which is one of them. The recording is fairly basic but that works. It’s punk but with a rock n’ roll vibe, ‘Love Bite’ opens with an interesting build up which quickly gets going. The vocals consist of muffled singing that border on screams at times. I’m not impressed by ‘By Myself’ but ‘Duran Duran’ brings it back and then ‘Suicide Pill’ is probbaly the pick of the bunch. Simple but effective garage punk.
