Ah, some new UK screamo; I’ll take that. Cady are very much in the React With Protest camp, with the Battle of Wolf type guitar intro and the drums coming in soon after, before they erupt into screams – the vocals are not unlike those in Delos. This is certainly an improvement on their first EP ‘Zodiacal Dust’. ‘Dock Ellis’ is the pick of the bunch with its hooks – the other songs are a little more straightforward. The title track gives a good end to the EP at a lengthier five minutes. The band are coming along and have completed a Euro tour with Amygdala this summer; what I’d like to see now is more of an individual stamp on what they are trying to do.
