Lively little collection of tunes here, all swathed in layers of fuzz and fun. There’s not a huge amount you can write about such a thing, as it’s all rather straightforward. The five songs focus on catchy pop, sometimes just peeping out beneath the buzz, and mostly with up front vocals leading the way. “Umbrella” kind of reminds me of that song Cherry Bomb that was in Scott Pilgrim. “Brighter Ones” does drop the pace a little bit, maybe injects a bit more Weezer into the proceedings. Plenty of woah oh ohs. Think it’s the pick of the bunch for me. “Honeybee” gets even poppier and is the furthest removed from their general sound.
Pretty sweet garagey pop punk all told.
