Released on Czech label Phobia records that have previously put out releases by the likes of Crutches and Warvictims, Waarface (nope not a typo) from Austin, Texas could easily be mistaken for another Swedish D-Beat outfit, and that would probably be a compliment, as so many bands in this genre are replicating that sound, and doing it well. This is raw, relentless, heavy crust with a splattering of metal worship. It’s not the most original record I’ve ever heard but it’ll get you going if you’re a no nonsense D-Beat Warrior, I can already see this fists pumping.
