The Couch Potatotes open this rerelease with the instrumental ‘Lunchbox’. I thought for a moment there might be no vocals on the whole thing, but fortunately this is not the case and they fly into their more typical sound on teack two, ‘Impossible’. Yan has an interesting set of vocals, placed fairly low in the mix; as he hollers away, they are somewhat lacking in emotion, but this counterintuitively works well. On ‘Part Of You’ it sounds like he is bored and going through the motions, but, to reiterate, it makes them very effective! He goes for it a lot more on ‘Weak’ and combines well with some solid riffs and drum beats throughout.
