Two tracks of fiery, out-of-control heavy metal. The first, ‘Hell Comes To Life’, is straight-up thrash, roaring along at full throttle and dashing off riff after riff like their pockets are full of the damn things. Reference points here are Exodus, Forbidden and Overkill, all of which are pretty much fine with me. Decent as this all is, it’s second track ‘Hell Patrol’ that really stands out. Things here have more of a trad or NWOBHM feel, the galloping riffs allowed room to roam free and the singer’s Tim-Baker-gone-power-metal squawk soaring above it all in majestic fashion. Apparently there’s an album in the pipeline, which, if these two tracks are anything to go by, should be well worth a peep if you’re forever seeking that next kick-in-the-teeth metal fix.
