Absolute ripper from this international ensemble, whose collective pedigree includes acts like Nitad, Victims and Hard To Swallow. D-beat – 12 ragged, quickfire blasts of it – is the order of the day, and while we all know the formula well enough things’re belted out with so much venom, passion and white-hot rage that it’s pretty much impossible to ignore. The sound is lean and rangy, the vocals searing and the occasional rasping back-ups add a nice additional layer to the chaos. While the main sonic touchstones (Discharge, Anti-Cimex, Shitlickers…) are the ones you might expect from a UK-Scandi team-up of this type, there’s also a vague whiff of Rudimentary Peni at play that helps raise the stakes even further. All in all it’s some seriously impressive stuff, and worthy of a place in any discerning punker’s collection.
