Meant to review this when it was released digitally, but now it’s out on vinyl I can pretend that I’m almost timely instead of late. HAH. Unyielding Love, in case you’re not aware, are pretty flipping good. They play caustic, splenetic grind that thoroughly mixes things up, tempering the ravening blasts with moments of vast discord, grumbling slow motion and threatening quietude. All this – and the fact that power electronics lurk hungrily beneath the surface – means that Full Of Hell are perhaps the comparison closest to hand, though the likes of Triac and Column Of Heaven also spring to mind. It’s savage, painful and utterly relentless: a gruellingly exciting listen that’ll have you crawling back for more if it doesn’t put an end to your vile existence entirely.
