Very intriguing band from London here, according to Bandcamp this is their second recording after a tape release earlier this year which appears to still be available. “On & On” opens up loping along, Slint-like, before the mix buried vocals drop in. Perhaps if Slint had decided that their main influence was going to be the Fall? It slides on through eight and half minutes, next to no variation in the plodding guitar riff but the chatty bloke on vocals changes his tone now and again, but I can’t really make out what he’s got to say, hopefully it’s not something that would make people angry. On bandcamp it does say this release is semi-improvised, which is interesting. And hypnotic, I phased out momentarily. “East/West” follows and you can see they are quite content ploughing this kind of path and I can get behind it, the repetitive rhythms get inside me and I find it oddly quite soothing, having a little bit of a run in with anxiety the past couple of days. I felt that doing a bit of writing and focusing on music for the first time in a while might be a good outlet and this is a good decision I think.

Worth checking out if you dig the repetition.
