Absolute belter, this. Rut smash through four tracks of burly, stomping, belligerent hardcore that’s almost … but not quite … straight-up. While you could perhaps trace its lineage back to anything from G.L.O.S.S. to Life’s Blood or an ultra-ragged Slapshot, the queasy use of chorus and the threatening sense of lurch render it enjoyably atypical. Opener ‘Provoked’ is my top tip thanks to its being slightly more seasick than the rest, but the other numbers more than hold their own. Excellent stuff, and kudos too for the great, simple, to-the-point sleeve!
