Labels: Weirdly
Review by: Alex Deller
Strange, warped music that sounds like some sort of garbled alien transmission. The first side has five horrible short songs on it, the second side has one long horrible song on it. Somehow, the latter is more palatable … perhaps because it tears in and about of focus rather than demanding constant attention. I think the place I bought this may have used NASA Space Universe as a kind of selling point, which I can understand. It also reminds me of that time when labels affiliated with the 00s screamo scene started to release ‘no wave’ records in an attempt to seem grown-up. Rest assured, though, that this bunch sound so genuinely weird and frazzled that you likely won’t find them winding up releasing shite with whoever the modern equivalent of Dimmak or Troubleman is. That they’ll still be allowed to release something, however, remains a concern.
