Hailing from Portugal, Systemik Viølence represent a grey streamer of snot wiped across the sleeve of a well-worn leather jacket. They play crust-blasted hardcore (of course), operating in a numinous space that hails past Japanese and Scandinavian titans without slavishly nailing their colours to one particular mast. A series of snorts and grunts serve by way of vocals while riffs are frenzied but lumpily clear, and the metallic riffing suggests a fondness for vintage thrash and/or the first couple of Exploited records. Not bad I say, not bad at all!
