Men from professional metal bands (Misery Index, Cattle Decapitation) playing in another professional metal band. I say this not as a dig or a jibe, but in order to convey how Cast The Stone’s death metal sounds: glossy, well-played and well-prepared, but rather grit-free despite the undeniable brutality. I don’t have a problem with it while it’s playing, but as soon as everything powers down I’m hard pressed to remember much about it. Fine, I guess?
