Swift, savage, throat-shredded stuff from Holland that really doesn’t fuck about. While the rage, brevity and kick-to-the-goolies immediacy speak to the savagery of hardcore there’s also a fondness for murky, repetitious pounding that recalls the likes of Slices, Rusted Shut and Wolf Whistle. Most of the time the band keep things well under two minutes, but closing track ‘Well Fed And Fucked’ goes borderline prog (haha) by doubling the run-time and throwing a groaning, atonal solo into the mix. It’s a great, energising slice of nastiness, and a refreshing reminder of just how obliteratingly horrible Mark Shikari’s voice can be.
