Terrific blurt of careening, all-over-the-place punk from the aptly-named Oops, who touch base with numerous different styles while remaining wholly themselves. The first ten seconds of the minute-long opening track threaten no wave, the wiry hardcore fury of No No No and bleary Sonic Youth-stylings before briefly settling into an amalgam of all three. Follow up 不安定な不安点, meanwhile, kicks off with 90s slacker energy and interjects it with jaunty, 80s-leaning Xero Fiction inferences and カルマ has some cheerfully wan vibes that recall bands like Braid and The Lapse. It then, of course, closes on a 20-second blast of ferocious pyrotechnics that border on the emoviolent – a curious note to go out on, but one that nevertheless makes a weird sort of sense.
