HHA are probably the best band in the country right now. A ferocious blend of powerviolent hardcore and grinding chaos, they have the knack of sounding like four musicians who know exactly what they’re doing (especially the drummer), whilst simultaneously barely bothering to keep up with each other. It’s like Void updated by Pig Destroyer. It’s like the best fucking thing you ever heard.
DSFS get a bit more focussed in the studio, reining in their splattered but serious craze-core to a level where riffs and rhythms can be discerned. There are totally insane levels of rage and speed, yet it’s catchy and fun enough to warrant many, many repeat spins. Add some song titles that take longer to read than it does for the song to get from intro to coda and you’ve got one of the best British hardcore splits in ages.
