More pop-punk shenanigans courtesy of Crackle. This 4 track 7″ for several listens ignited little in the way of enthusiasm – much of this can be attributed to the fact that quality wise its very much a “half and half” affair.
You eventually come round and realise that there are two pretty good punk-pop songs lurking beneath the Star Wars embellished sleeve. Undisputed stand out is ‘One More Day’ which is pretty powerful and style wise would sound right at home on the next Fat Wreck compilation.
‘Drive’ also deserves merit, ecompasing some strange spoken word dialogue into a generally passionate pop-punk tune. However, the other two tracks ‘Fucked Up Girl’ and ‘Tut’ really didn’t possess much staying power which is a shame because Chopper have already proved with ‘One More Day’ they have what it takes to write good pop-punk.
