The Paradise Boys is (I think) the other half of the Calculators that didn’t go on to become The Rapture. Somebody at work said it just sounded like The Rapture but it really doesn’t. It is so much more like the Calculators, mainly because of that guys great voice. It’s a lot less punk than they were though. It is totally out and out eighties music now. Whereas before they were very PIL and a bit Gary Numan now they are a bit Numan and very New Order if that makes any sense!
The remixes are all pretty good-but they are house remixes. I don’t mind a bit of house music as long as it’s good and I’m in the mood but I’m sure most Collective readers won’t!
