Omega Cinco - Point of Few - Split - 7

Labels: Ozono Kids
Review by: Alex Deller

Split records with no band information on the labels can be rather confusing. Kind of like tossing a coin in the air and guessing whether it’ll be heads or tails when it hits. But at least with this sweet little treat you’re rewarded whichever way up the fucker lands.

Point of Few are from the Netherlands and play hardcore that isn’t a million miles away from Born Against, but with harsher, shrieked vocals. I guess Los Crudos would be a pretty good point of reference, all fast thrash and tinny production. It rips. Spain’s Omega Cinco also tear it up, this time busting out the emoviolence like it was the late nineties all over again and bands like Palatka and End of the Century Party were mewling and howling their guts out at sweatbox gigs across Gainesville. Disjointed and erratic, jagged like a mouthful of glass-contaminated babyfood. Solid split all round, then.
