Oh dear, oh dear. Their first album was a masterpiece. Everything since has been gradually depleting in quality, so I stopped listening. I was sent this, and it’s just the epitome of mediocre. When I think that this is the band who produced such songs as ‘Holly Park’, ‘Potential Getaway Driver’ and the masterpiece that is ‘Blindspot’, I wonder what the hell went wrong. Take the newest Jimmy Eat World record’s more upbeat numbers, like ‘The Middle’, then make it really, really boring. Then spin it out for six songs. If that sounds your bag, go get em, tiger!
