Right first things first, I made the worsetmistake a vinyl fan could first time I played this record, I played it at the wrong speed. And because of this i thought it was some awful metal band pretending to me hardcore, then I got bored and played with the speed and it came on the right speed, and I started rocking out. Ok this has some hit and miss tracks on it, but you cant beat a bit of rocking hardcore punk, and unlike most albums of this style every track does not sound the same. They play screamy hardcore not unlike Born Against, but for the most part a bit faster. The last two tracks on side 1 stand out most of all, track 6 is a black flag cover, and I’ve heard covers of “Depression” before but this one has to be the best, they keep the attitude but modernise it a bit to their style, which is usually lost in hardcore bands doing cover. The vocals are a bit American Nightmare esque, which isnt bad thing really when American Nightmare’s first 7 inch is one of my favourite hardcore 7inches of all time. This is for fans of modern hardcore but cant be arsed with all the spazz and complexity and just wanna rock a bit and are not too put off with the odd cliché song structure.
