Ok, let me give you some background on this band. Last night I went to a gig in Worcester, the gig was OK, I heard this band are new and kinda like the style I like to listen to so I thought I’d check them out. They came on stage wearing tiger pattern hot pants, which to be honest I didn’t find too amusing. They gave out free cds which I thought was cool though. Oh yeah they are from Leeds, which to be honest by what I’ve heard about leeds DIY hardcore, is quite obvious.
Right I am now going to put the CD on..
Stylistically this is kinda San Diego sounding, people compare them to Blood Brothers, although I have never heard them. Personally I would compare this to Antioch Arrow and maybe Jeromes Dreams later stuff with the mathy guitar stabs, the punky bits reek of Antioch though. Add in some silly samples from action cartoons and the like, plus some silly lyrics “respect my cock, respect my dick, respect MY COCK!” and there you have it! Tigers! self titled 7 inch. If you like it a bit sassy and you like to be a bit silly and a bit strange this is the way to go.
