This is a really crazy record. It looks lovely, clear vinyl with a lovely light blue cover, it’s all very pleasing to the eye. The thing I like about this record is that the tracks are pretty short and really keep my attention. The first track is a really nice krautrock track, pretty dark and spacey, reminds me a lot of Goblin. I can imagine this being on the soundtrack to Deep Red.
The second track is what it would sound like to be in space!
Then you get a bit more Goblin rock, with a bit of Mike Oldfield as well. Some of this sounds a lot like the most recent Tortoise record as well, which I thought was a bit of a grower. Track four sounds a lot like Skanfrom doing a Marilyn Manson song. I like it a lot, although it is suspiciously camp!
The second side starts off with a really nice long track. It really reminds me of the Outhud stuff on the remix split 12″ with !!!. It’s a really good track! The track after this just scares me. It sounds like its quite happy, but then has a scary noise that keeps changing pitch. Pretty boring one this one.
Altogether a good record, it looks great and sounds even better. I’m pretty sure I wont listen to it everyday but I guess its one of those records you pull out once in a while.
