Fucking awesome! Saw this bunch with Electric Wizard last week and both bands fucking ruled! Fucking noisy stoner doom craziness. I wasn’t sure if I’d like Warhorse as I thought they might be like yr average stoner band (like QOTSA – who I like but find a bit boring) and I heard the vocals weren’t screamy as well. I don’t know much about this kind of thing but when I heard the vocals weren’t screamed I went off the idea and nearly didn’t go and see em. I wanted ’em to sound like Burning Witch or Khanate! However the vocals are crazy anyway. Quite deep and really gravelly. It’s well slow, and at times the recording makes it sound like a wall of noise (which makes it sound so awesome its untrue). This band really make me want to take lots of drugs (much like the films The Wicker Man and Cecil B Demented make me want to too) and just play this record fucking loud. At present Cliff Richard is talking on television about the Jubilee “I think it’s quite important to have something others don’t have”. What a twat! Listen to Warhorse!
