Metamatics - s/t - 7

Pretty decent 7″ here. Metamatics has changed about from his housey, spacey electronica that was found on his previous 12’s (and is certainly different to the almost drum ‘n’ bass cd I found at work that he did). This is pretty techno…it;s still really nice though. Repetitive beats with the occasional bit of sampled vocals, it still retains its lo fi whilst at the same time sounding a lot more commercial. The b side is very much like a combination of his earlier work and Music Has the Right to Children era Boards of Canada. Which is very good! Its a lot darker and quieter. The techno beats have gone and it just flows along with nice weird sounds in the background (which sound like frogs croaking!). If the B side had crazy messed up jungle beats over the top it could easily be on rephlex or tigerbeat6.

This is not the punk metamatics!
