Whistle Jacket - Rainy Day Sunshine - CD (2004)

Labels: Centre St. Tracks
Review by: Tom Sloan

Whistle Jacket have compiled an album airy-fairy acoustic around-the-campfire love songs, at best sounding like Billy Corgan on Zwan outtakes (generous) and at worse a bit like the Bee-Gee’s (a little harsh). Remarkably unremarkable”¦I’m going to post this review now before I start feeling bad about not finding anything good to say about it, because there are flashes of prettiness on this album only to be obliterated by cheesiness, and hints of good songs only to be demeaned by the fact at 15 tracks, this is too much to bother with.
