Whoa, first up: what a badly-packaged little piece of vinyl. Truly ugly. The next disappointment is that the usually reliable Seven Days of Samsara really drop the ball, playing a couple of yawn-inducingly average tracks that fall somewhere between HHiG and Harkonen. – big, burly vocals and heavy guitars that veer off into the unknown from time to time, tinkering with the weird and wild before trotting back into the heavy hardcore fray. Almost interesting, but not a patch on this band’s previous releases.
Next up are Destroyer, whose crummy take on Jerrys Kids / FU’s style hardcore rarely lasts longer than the time it takes to spit on the floor and roll your eyes. Pretty dull, truth be told, and definitely not a patch on their influences.
Shame all round, really.
