Donnacha Costello - Together Is The New Alone - LP (2002)

Labels: Mille Plateaux
Review by: Chris Bress

This is the best Sunday record I think I’ve ever bought. I first heard this over Christmas when I was working on Sundays and me and my workmate would watch videos at work and therefore not listen to very loud music, someone recommended this. Its totally sparse but amazing electronica, only one song has beats. It’s soundscapey but not in an annoying or overpowering way, even when some of the songs are very long. I find myself listening to the second LP (yup, its a double) a lot more, there are remote tunes to be found in these four tracks.

Get this or get someone to tape it for you (me if u like!) if ya like quiet ambient (not chillout crap) sounds.
