Southport - Nothing Is Easy - CD (2000)

Review by: Luke Younger

The alarm on the car across the road from me has been going off for the last twenty minutes. It’s driving me up the fucking pole. Grrrr. Anyway, Southport. Having seen this band so many times over the last year I could of quite easily sung this entire record standing on my head with an apple in my mouth before hearing it, but it’s out now, so I don’t have to. Thank fuck. Southport play insanely catchy punk rock and feature Simon who used to be in Snuff (ie: the better singer from the good old days), but do you really need this review to know this? Surely you must have seen them live by now so this gets a very worthy 8/10. And the alarm on the car over the road just stopped ringing. Excellent.
