Either I’ve lost any info that came with this, or burned it in a futile attempt to heat my house without paying
for fuel, or it didn’t come with any. Which is a shame. Oh, wait, I just found they have a website. Anyway. This
is pretty good for a demo. It is three tracks of screamy hardcore stuff and they make a good go of it. I think
it’s a tiny bet let down by the rather forced sounding hoarse, screamed vocals which I’d prefer if they were a
little more spazzy or lower in the mix. The music is damn solid though, mixing jangly intricate guitar with more
driving, powerful moments. And some dodgier rumbly metal parts. The jangly bits work really well with the yelling
going on over the top, but eventually they make way for the BEATDOWNS where they all stomp and get slow and
CHUGGA. Which is a shame, as they really take away from some pretty decent little tunes. I guess if like chuggy
metal parts in your screamy hardcore then you’ll appreciate that a whole lot more than I. “When We Were Kids”
turns a bit jazz towards the end too, just for a change of pace. The final song is more metal up your arse.
Overall, this is not bad at all even if musically it is entirely not up my street. I think people who enjoy this
style of hardcore would be pleasantly surprised by this lot.
