So as the apparently no longer contractually obliged Drowningman start playing again they have decided to put out this typically sarcastically titled compilation of demos and stuff, which I presume is one of the records they were gonna paw off on to Revelation towards the end of their last time out. And it does seem like a kind of pointless release in a way but its not without its moments, particularly in the form of the couple of new (ish) songs (sadly ‘please let us out of this fucking contract’ or anything featuring Darkest Hour are not included) which bring a new sense of hope for their music after the occasional half arsedness of thier last full length.
Really I’d say you’d be better off waiting for their next record proper assuming the notorious one man soap opera that is Simon Brody keeps it together long enough, I have a feeling it could well be awesome. In the meantime stick with the first couple of records perhaps, for the time being at least…
