Three-track sizzler from some band I’d never even heard of. Taking the jerky styles of, say, Shotmaker and updating it with some fresh new twists in much the same way as Stop It!!, Bailer or Life at These Speeds for some top-hole emo action. Polar keep a tight grip on the reins of their rock as it fidgets and flutters like some spindly-limbed creature that was never meant to be pinned down, yelling the hell out of their guts and charting their voyage with some lithe, slinking arpeggios that can’t fail to get your fingers tapping. The eight minutes they take to do their business turn out to be painfully short, and considering this demo is a darn sight better than most 7″s you’re likely to pick up you’d be wise to keep your eyes peeled for whatever they get up to next.
