Really promising 6 track demo here from a fairly new band from somewhere. They’re one of those bands who seem to take influences from a variety of genres and this usually makes me roll my eyes but for the most part Only Until… manage to make it work. Essentially it’s sort of a metallic, epic screamo sound I guess, mostly instrumental, not too far removed from Envy or Gantz or something. Opener ‘The Days of Living are Gone, the Circuitry Runs Through us Now’, despite having an extremely disjointed build-up, explodes into awesomeness which is over far too quickly for me. More rock! Fortunately they do bring the rock in the rest of the EP, amidst long drawn out passages of music. I personally prefer when they really go full throttle, like in the last 2 tracks, but the less immediate instrumental sections make them the band they are, a rather good one.
