Heresy - 1985-87 - LP (2006)

Labels: Boss Tuneage
Review by: Alex Deller

Here we have the first instalment of Boss Tuneage’s Heresy discography, a labour of love documenting one of the UK’s finest hardcore exports to date. This heavy slice of white vinyl includes their first demo, the Never Healed flexi, the Thanks record and a couple of bonus tracks tacked on to sweeten the deal yet further. This stuff still sounds intense today, so Christ alone knows what they must have been like to witness when they first hit the scene with their white-knuckle blur of seething hardcore, a truly ferocious racket teetering on the edge of spontaneous combustion and ultimately destined to leave more of a mark on the hardcore map than they ever could have imagined. Essential, basically.
